Pathway Program

Helping young people grow with confidence

At Avigail Residence, we know that preparing for adulthood doesn’t start at sixteen it starts much earlier. Our Pathway Programme gives children and teenagers the chance to learn important life skills, build confidence, and develop resilience in a supportive environment. With gentle guidance and encouragement, we help each young person feel emotionally and practically ready to take their next steps toward independence and a brighter future.

Pathway Program

At Avigail Pathway House, we provide a safe, structured home where young people approaching sixteen can begin preparing for independence. With gentle guidance and therapeutic support, they take part in daily tasks such as cooking, self-care, and managing routines. Our goal is to help each child build confidence, life skills, and emotional readiness for the future—at a pace that feels right for them.

Pathway Programme

Education, Training, and Employment

We place a strong emphasis on education as a pathway to independence and opportunity. Children are supported in formal or alternative learning, and we assist those who have fallen behind in their schooling. As they grow older, we help them explore future options through college visits, training programmes, and practical learning experiences.

We support young people’s physical, emotional, and mental health through regular care and guidance. Healthy routines are encouraged, along with learning how to look after themselves and ask for help when needed. Access to health services is made simple, supportive, and youth-friendly.

Every young person has a personalised Health Care Plan that includes medical needs, immunisations, and regular check-ups. We encourage them to take more responsibility for their own health, appointments, and medications over time. Each plan grows and adapts as their needs and confidence change.

We encourage safe and positive connections with family, siblings, and trusted adults. Young people are also supported to build friendships and get involved in their community, which helps them feel grounded and confident. Our staff guide them in developing the emotional skills they need to create and maintain healthy, lasting relationships.

We help young people understand money through practical, age-appropriate activities. They learn how to save, budget, and make smart financial decisions. As they get older, we guide them with real-life experiences and planning, preparing them for financial independence after the age of sixteen.
